At the hairdressers

I would have been no more than 6 years old as my sister Louise was not born yet. I remember sitting at the hairdressers with my mum patiently waiting and watching my mum's hair getting back combed. I sat patiently as I loved getting alone time with mum. When it was over we walked home hand in hand with not much said. Words were not needed as I was totally in awe of my beautiful mini dressed mum with her long velvet hippy coat that touched the floor, it was like walking with a beautiful bright star that people couldn't help but admire. As life took its toll on you your shine didn't leave you it just let others shine instead. Now you have gone my dear sweet mum I see you twinkling amongst the other stars, smiling down happy to let us see you with that amazing shine once again.
